A few weeks ago @inkycatz posted this question about King Cake, and I recommended the Mam Papaul's mix which was available on Amazon for about $8. Rather than wait for delivery, I just found that it is available in-store at World Market for $6.49! Yum!

As I suggested to inkycatz, if you want an easy way to make one yourself, I recommend buying this mix and letting your bread machine do the heavy lifting as far as the kneading, etc. I've made these occasionally for years and they come out great. Take the dough out of the machine after that step and roll it out, fill it, shape it up, let it rise and bake it in the oven. Yummmm!

Now I think I'll make one! So much better than the ones we pick up at the bakery!
