Thanks for the coupon! I needed a new router and this is a great price for a N router even if it is recertified!

I had this router and found it to be a POS. Horrible signal and died a lot. That's just my experience, your mileage may vary.

Good deal. Kinda fishy that it asked for the last for of my SSN at the completion of the order. Did not seem right.

I purchased one of these last year for about the same price (Recertified, as well). It has been running 24/7 since with only a few reboots due to power loss (environment) or physically relocating. I also purchased one for my parents to use/replace their older one. Zero problems. Excellent range. I should add that I have several devices leeching off of this thing wirelessly (and a few hardwired) 24/7, as well. Just upgrade to the latest firmware first, if needed, and you'll be all set.

You may of been asked for part of your SSN if you used a Debit card (e.g. MasterCard) that asks for some type of identifier as part of its 'SecureCode' security measure.

A little nervous, but had to pull the trigger, such a good price. I've had great luck with recertified products recently so hopefully I'll get lucky again this time too.

skip the page after order that asks for last 4 of SSN, it is an additional purchase is some useless service.

vote-for1vote-against

yeah it looked unnecessary but i gave it to them anyway, whatever, its tigerdirect not some unknown business. And I don't think its a purchase, just something extra.

I have been running this router at home for 6 months with zero issues. I am buying a second one to use in bridge mode. Thanks for the deal!

Had one for four months. It died pretty much the day after the warranty expired. Very frustrating. STAY AWAY!

Is the $10 off coupon there for the $14 shipping?

vote-for1vote-against

I bought this refurbed and have been using it since July 2010. It's more than paid for itself by splitting internet costs with roomies (without running coax cable through the apt) and sending wireless signals to my Roku and laptop.

vote-for1vote-against

make sure you switch it to the economy shipping method. For me that took the shipping from 7 to 3 something(shipping to ny)

Just bought it. My old Linksys Wireless G router has been dropping signal lately. I called tech support and kept getting some guy named Peggy with a Russian accent.

If you guys are giving people the last 4 of your Social Sercuity number for a purchase - there is something SERIOUSLY wrong with your brain. Please do not breed.

They raised the price while I was checking out. Base price before coupon is now $29.99.

@somethingwitty: i had nothing but trouble from this router as well. i returned it twice before going back to an old g router.

They raised the price on me during checkout just now too. Originally came up as $24.99 (so would have been $14.99 with $10 off), but as soon as I went to checkout the price increased to $29.99. Not cool TigerDirect!!

vote-for1vote-against

This is coming up for me as $19.99 + $3.46 shipping. I don't know how to get to $14.99. Any ideas?

The unit is $34.99 and there is a built-in coupon for $5 off to $29.99. the coupon PBK12994 brought the price down to $19.99.

To get the shipping to $3.46, choose the most economical shipping choice. The system defaults to a higher priced shipping method.

Tigerdirect has raised the price. The best you deal from them is $19.99. This deal is now RIP.

@k2kid36: EconoShip should be approx $3.46, but you need to select it from the dropdown

Looks like getting a solid working router is hit-or-miss from the comments so far, but I've had mine for 3 years and it's been the best I've ever owned. Wireless does drop every once in awhile, like once or twice a month, but I've discovered that it only happens if it gets overheated - so keep the router upright and don't sit it on a stack of other electronics like your modem.

Even at 19.99 it's still a great deal. I spent $75 on it (3 years ago)

When I go through google checkout (to save another $5 since I'm buying 2) it won't let me enter the coupon code. Anyone else have this problem?

Also it won't let me take the cheapest shipping :(

@bcaskey: If I was you I wouldn't breed. The last 4 digits of your social mean nothing as long as you are keeping the first 5 secret (as is standard practice). You've already given them your Address and CC#.

i just bought one (9am CST 12/1/2010) , used the coupon code provided and with economy shipping came out to be $23

i bought one of these refurbs on newegg and it sucked. The one i got dropped signal all the time and after the 90 days warranty period it completely crapped out on me. There is a reason these have been on refurb sales dozens of times at different places. The prices just keep getting lower too.

I just tried to purchase the router and the coupon code given above did not work
