Ummmm....you can look at the product page at Microcenter. It lists 4 HDMI 2 composite, 2 s-video. So, it looks like no component, and no VGA.

I got a Hannspree 40" @ Costco.com for $499 (they double the warranty) and I am very happy with the picture, even though we don't have HD programming yet. The built-in speakers are not great but I have the output attached to a Klipsch system so no worries.

brn2hvitall: why would you not expect to start a transaction and not have an authorization placed on any debit/credit card? I get the out of stock/backorder, but that doesn't make it a scam. Ever reserved a hotel room? Purchased gas at the pump? Driven a rental car? Opened a bar tab? When you orders service or merchandise, the people you are doing business with want to make sure you can pay for it. Previous posters are correct, authorizations will drop off the account within 5 business days if the transaction can't be completed. And if you get charged without receiving the merchandise,call your bank to dispute the transaction. Read your account/cardholder agreement. There should be a test for people to carry plastic.

I ordered it, and order went fine. they send you an email several hours later, indicating it's backordered, that being said, they say your order is valid for 30 days, so I'm assuming if they don't receive the item in 30 days, your order is canceled.

Ordered mine around 9:30 pm checkout was hassle free. Have yet to receive a confirmation email or email of any sort pertaining to the purchase. Though my bank did email me to notify me of the $235 transaction. And I looked on my account and sure enough I was $235 poorer. Im not really worried about microcenter scamming me as its a well known chain. I'm just concerend about their ordering system and the whole not recieving an email yet, and why is their website not indicating its backordered and just letting people checkout without first notifying them of this? Though this is a great deal if Im actually able to snag one. thanks to the poster. Hopefully our patience will payoff.

I ordered mine about 4:00 PM Eastern time yesterday (Sunday the 10th). I got a confirmation e-mail at 5:34 PM stating that my order would be shipped on the 13th. The money came out of my account almost immediately after the transaction. As of now (6 pm eastern 7/11) I have not received an out of stock notification. Fingers are crossed that it goes through, will be sure to update this if I do get an out of stock notification.

Hey guys wanted to provide you with an update.I Just called microcenter and the lady immediately knew what I was talking about before I even finished my sentence and began laughing, I suspect shes been getting calls all day. She said they are currently in talks with the vendor to see if they can acquire anymore of this particular televisions. I asked her honest opinion if she thought the orders would go through and they would be able to settle a deal with the vendor and she said "yes we're very persuasive".She couldn't provide a timeline just repeated that they were in talks, I suspect we should know pretty soon, they'll either come 2 a deal or not She went on to tell me she didn't know And had no way of knowing what place people are in queue, obviously the sooner you ordered it the better but she seemed pretty sure that they would be able to fulfill the orders. And she repeated what the email said that if it doesn't ship by the 30 days it will be automatically canceled.Fingers crossed

The deal is dead. I just spoke to a service rep on the phone... soon as I mentioned order I placed over the weekend he said, "Oh, the TV?" Didn't even need to say which one... lol

Seems there was an onslaught (nice job Woot!) Anyway, long story short, he said that all Backorders WILL BE FILLED eventually. They just don't know when. Those who attempted to order and got the errors probably did so after they tried to shut it down.

Hope this helps. I'm just glad it looks like I will get the TV after all for that ridiculously low price.
