Bought a set of S3s last time this vendor had a deal - major disappointment. My $9 Woot! iMetal buds sound better than my $65 Klipsch. Fit better too - the Klipsch are abysmal - the pop out ceaseless, and the body design actually precludes them from fitting well into my ears.

I have a house full of Klipsch Reference loudpseakers - these turds do not deserve the Reference label. It's sad to see the Klipsch brand tanking - they're buying up crap companies and putting their name on anything.

Caveat Emptor.

Here's an image that does a better job of showing the weird bend in the body design:

No thanks, I'm happy with my JVC earbuds imported from Japan! Such a amazing pair of headphones and yet they are only sold in Japan.

@pufferfishy: A lot of in ear headphones have a curvature. It's actually a very common design in some of the upper tier in ear headphones. It just comes down to the design of the driver. They won't fit strange in your ears. In fact, they will fit quite naturally.

Clearly I just have strange ears. Thankfully I also have 3 spare sets of the iMetals.

Knowing a thing or two about drivers I fail to see how this design is required, or even a good idea - but whatever.

Anyone want a barely used set of upper-tier Klipsch earbuds? CHEAP! :D

@pufferfishy: Yep, I jumped on a pair of Meelectronics M6's from a deal a day site on here for $8.95 and they sound much better. The Klipsch iem's and headphones all seem to be geared toward bass and nothing else. To be fair the M6's list price was like $30 bucks but they still shouldn't sound better at that price. There are plenty of better out there for much less money imo

@vieravy: its actually cheaper if you enter the code, 64 versus 79

Sennheiser CX500 are rated as indistinguishable from the $600 Shure earbuds and the Sennheisers are $30...

I have Klipsch Promedia 5.1's on my media PC and they sound amazing but I would never trust Klipsch for headphones especially not when there are universally better rated Sennheisers for $40 less...

@vieravy FYI-These aren't the same headphones as your links on Amazon. Those are the lower (and cheaper) models (kinda like toyota and lexus). These are the higher end ones and when you use the coupon code you get the best price. Hope this clears it up!

Take a look at the correct headphones on Amazon via this link:

@vieravy: You have to enter the coupon code to lower the price.

Klipsch jumped the shark years ago. They started pumping out tons of Chinese crap with their name on it- selling it with "crazy" markdowns from inflated "regular" prices. They are no longer the legend they used to be. Walk away from this train wreck... there's no reason to support them anymore.

Why are all the posts naming better headphones that are cheaper or warning people that Klipsch makes really poor sound quality headphones all downvoted? Is it not relevant to let people know that just because it's the Klipsch name does mean it's anywhere near the quality of their speakers?

Very tempted on this deal. I have the "cheaper" Image S4s and the were fantastic as far as sound quality. Unfortunately, the buds lacked in solid design, and mine busted down about 8 months after purchase. One day they just stopped working effectively and I constantly found myself twisting the plug around until the right sound came through. Insanely annoying, and made them useless. But these may be better, again I loved them when they worked.

@funkadunk8: I am "bi-locating" between homes in Ohio and Florida - when I am back in Ohio (where the buds reside) I will drop you a note and some pics.

@ikisat: because it's woot - and d!ck & fart jokes mean more than an informed consumer.

I'm amazed this thread didn't garner a single oh-so-hilarious "Will this work with my Mac?" post.....

I'm sure some folks that read these comments passed on this "deal" - and I'm sure others are in the process of learning a valuable lesson in consumerism. Or not.

I've never regretted anything I DIDN'T buy based on feedback :)
