It's four-year-old tech, that's no longer sold new, won't support new iOS versions, and thus won't run a lot of new apps. And, you get to deal with fleabay.

This might be a good deal for someone who's curious about iOS development but doesn't want to spend a fortune on hardware.

@djp519: Good point - I have a 2nd Gen itouch, works great but I'm running in to issues with newer apps.

You can get these cheaper at Gamestop or Glyde or even CowBoom.

I have an iPhone 3GS (unlocked) and use it on Walmart's StraightTalk...$50 a month (no contract) Unlimited Minutes/texts/and data. I got my iPhone at Gamestop for $150 a few months ago. It's in MINT condition- great battery life. Who needs an iPhone 5???

Just got to the ST website and buy a StraightTalk SIM for $10. No activation fees and you can port your current number for free (usually in under an hour). Beats any other "contract-based" service out there and you can still have an iPhone.
