I think I am going to go for the sampler with five bags of each of their 19 flavors for under $40 with free shipping. I don't care for herbal infusions (misnamed tea, as they contain no tea) but I can serve those to guests and enjoy the real teas myself.

This is a good deal.

Also, COUPON CODE: PENNLIVE gives you an extra 50% off. (used 11:19 on wed)

I ordered 2x the sampler, used the 50% off, so ended up paying $20 (plus s&h). Essentially 75% off. And I dont eve like tea...\

UPDATE: With the coupon I didnt have to pay shipping. Sooooo, it was $20.45 for almost 200 bags of quality tea shipped to my door... cant complain.

@jordanchivell: note to self, read comments before ordering!
Still a good deal though.

Anyone know if their tea in a tin canister is loose leaf and, if so, how much is in each?

vote-for1vote-against

@racinreaver: The sample I got came in a bag, not loose leaf. It was tasty too.

Hello, Wooters. We started getting a bunch of orders combining to our offers. The PENNLIVE coupon and the Double It for a Buck offer. This wasn't our intention, but we love it.

I do want you to know that we've gotten tons of orders and the PENNLIVE coupon is nearly exhausted. The Double It for a Buck offer expires next week, but will be available on every order.

To the lucky few who get the PENNLIVE coupon, we will honor it in combination. To those of you who miss out, I hope you'll still take advantage of double tea for $1.00.

Jason Tweed, Owner, Kungaloosh Gourmet Tea Company

@jordanchivell: Thanks! I just went and did the same thing and it worked. $20.45 for 190 gourmet tea bags.

vote-for1vote-against

the combined offer still works.

vote-for1vote-against

Just used both promotions and got it at half price with double For $1. Awesome deal!

vote-for1vote-against

Just got 334 teabags for $43 (used both deals). I hope it all stays good for the year or so that it takes to drink it all. :-)

vote-for1vote-against

Thank You so much Jason. I got one year supply of tea bags :D. I love tea

Awesome deal, PENNILIVE coupon code just stopped working however :(

I used it about 10 minutes ago and it did go through, but I decided to get more and it no longer was valid.

However, you can use the code FIVEBUCKS to get five dollars off an order.

vote-for2vote-against

It just worked for me, thanks! Maybe it can only be used one time.

@amaiman: Storage is Key. I store my tea bags in a glass jar.

vote-for1vote-against

I am curious about storage as well. Is it a good idea to store teas in a freezer, assuming it is in a well sealed container? Also, does anyone know exactly which 19 varieties come in the super sampler thingie? There are more than 19 varieties listed for sale individually. Thanks for any info!

vote-for1vote-against

still works! Ty for this one, looking forward to receiving this package =)

vote-for1vote-against

Shoot I wish there were a way for me to remove my comment, hopefully people read past my comment and still get this great deal. I know I will be doing it again from my school computer so I have a different ip address lol.

PENNILIVE COUPON CODE STILL WORKS!!!!

hopefully that helps

vote-for1vote-against

Well, just bought more tea for my office than I'll likely be able to drink over the course of the next four years. Especially since I tend to like reusing teabags for the different flavors from the second and third cups.

Also, the free shipping only seems to apply if you only buy the samplers. I bought a few 24 packs and had to pay the $6 shipping.

Also, Pennlive worked for me!

vote-for1vote-against

This is SUCH a great deal (I think... for all I know they could send me compost instead of gourmet tea!). I did end up spending $25... but it's certainly worth it if it's even half as good as I expect. Coupon code worked just fine for me.

vote-for1vote-against

Used the PENNILIVE coupon. Seems like a great deal!

vote-for1vote-against

@amaiman: Tea stays good for up to one year if it's kept in an airtight container. We recommend storing tea in tin canisters or glass jars. Never store flavors together, as they will bleed into each other.

If you can't drink your tea in a year, Kungaloosh recommends that you get out and make more friends. :-)

@greenmonkey125: Hmmm... compost flavored tea. We will put that on our list of "maybe" flavors.

The biggest difference between good quality tea and grocery quality tea is bitterness. Good teas aren't bitter typically. Some have a more robust flavor, but aren't truly bitter.

Tea is a very personal beverage. People who tell me they don't like it simply haven't found the one they do like. Between herbal infusions and flavored teas, there is almost no one that can't find something they enjoy. For many of us, tea becomes our favorite drink after finding our personal favorite.

Hi again, it's Jason Tweed, Owner of Kungaloosh. We've gotten tons of orders and are filling them like mad. All orders should be shipped by tomorrow.

The PENNLIVE coupon will be dead very soon, but we don't want Wooters to miss out completely.

Use the new coupon code DEALSWOOT to get 30% off your total order at checkout. It can't be combined with other codes, but it can be used with our "Double It for a Buck" offer. With this offer you're still saving well over 50%.

Thanks again, Wooters. Our little company is growing. Here's hoping you all become fans of Kungaloosh. (After all, somebody's eventually gotta pay for all this free tea we're giving away.)

vote-for1vote-against

@racinreaver: The free shipping wasn't part of the sale, the samplers have free shipping, the regular packages have a shipping cost attached. When I first visited the site before all the coupon rage I had planned to try out a few samples, as the free shipping was a big incentive for me. But with the coupon I bought quite a bit more than I'd originally planned, so I am going to get to try flavors I wouldn't have otherwise.

vote-for1vote-against

I took the plunge and did the sampler with the pennlive and the doubled amount. I am looking forward to trying these teas out. Thank you Mr Tweed, I will be sharing these and hopefully can get some friends to become customers of yours.

@kungalooshtea: I got part one of my order today. It consisted of lemongrass and peppermint tea. I tried one of both and found them to be subtle and delicious. I then tried steeping BOTH in the same mug, and it was extra-delicious. I look forward to getting the darjeeling and two types of green tea I also ordered. I hope they come tomorrow! Thanks for the good deal.

Note: I think I can get through all of the tea I ordered in a reasonable time if I drink at least three mugs a day...

vote-for1vote-against

Do they drop ship these orders from their supplier? I haven't gotten any of the boxes that I ordered yet and it's been over a week. They're only about 200 miles away, so the mail shouldn't be taking too long...

I sent an e-mail to customer service to check on the status.

vote-for1vote-against

@amaiman: haven't received anything here yet either, but looking forward to the package! Fingers crossed, maybe it will show up later today =)

vote-for1vote-against

I received my order today (and a personalized e-mail from Jason apologizing for the delay, Woot generated a lot more orders than they were used to). The tea smells great, I'll try the first cup later tonight. (I ordered the big sampler + some larger bags of green tea. So many choices...)

vote-for1vote-against

@amaiman: nice! so, umm... when was it shipped out? Still nothing here, I figured I'd give it some time before complaining... but seems that might be the only way to get your stuff?!? Fingers still crossed... maybe it'll be there today! =)

vote-for1vote-against

I didn't get mine either. I called their office nobody answers. >_<... cross my fingers they're gonna mail me the tea

vote-for1vote-against

I got mine today, but have not tried it yet. Wonder if Kungaloosh is reading this still? Someone said to keep tea stored in glass containers, but not mix flavors. I have 19 different kinds! Do they recommend I buy 19 containers to store these in?

vote-for1vote-against

Mine finally showed up this morning, didn't even have to bother their customer support (although I did think about it! LOL)

I also got the sampler (19 flavors) and did the double my order thing...
but only 1/2 of my order was doubled (8 of the packets had stickers and double quantities, 10 packets had 5 teabags, 1 packet had 1 iced teabag)
Seemed to get an awful lot of 'black tea' also, as opposed to it being spread from the different categories as I was expecting...

but I'm not going to bother complaining to their customer support, happy to have finally received what they sent, and have enough tea to keep us busy for a while =)
