your argument is basically "Don't tell the neighbors they are being too loud; we don't want to upset them!"

while you do nothing about things you find obnoxious, in fact, even defend what you find obnoxious because you are too timid to do anything about it, other people will in fact complain while you sit in the corner.

don't worry, you will still get the benefit without doing any of the work.
