I'm tempted to get a external hard drive but I think I will wait until tomorrow to see if any better deals are posted elsewhere, and if not I'll check back there.

@wyccad915: If you have a local Costco & are a member they are clearing out the 2TB Seagate USB 3.0 drives for only $50! I picked up 5 of them yesterday for friends & family. As far as I know it is only available in-store.

lol, they have a 32gb sd card with 10mb write speed class 10 for $32! I got 2 sandisk 32gb class 10's with 30mbs write speed for $18 a piece from Best Buy!

@bunnyb0y: ugh. I just saw this and it's 6:06pm PST. They are closed now. :(

@mleejr: times like these i really dont know why people put newegg and tigerdirect in the same sentence.

vote-for2vote-against

TigerDirect is for people that don't know about newegg

With one Google Shopping search, I could find a better deal on almost every single one of these deals.

Kingston HyperX 120GB Solid State Drive - 120GB for $59. Same deal as in Newegg, expect when I try to get it in newegg, first they post the wrong price, then processing got stuck and they ran out of stock. I ended up getting the $75 bundle with extra usb enclosure, sata cable and screw-driver, not that I need any of those. Debating if I should get this one.

@billwaa: it's a pretty sweet deal.. i was wanting to get this from newegg as well but by the time i saw they were all sold out. This bad boy is still selling for $97 at Amazon and excellent reviews. I too am debating whether or not to get it... specially since i recently replaced my hard drive with a new one lol

@jyoz22: crap, sold out already, as I was going to buy it. oh well, I guess not, lol

@jyoz22: Get it. When your boot drive is SSD.... you'll never go back.

My 6.4TB for video workspace is made up of the 2TB "Green" drives. Need space for video editing.
I would recommend using an image utility to maintain the SSD image on the HD (2 copies), so when the SSD blows its stack, you can quickly get going again (hasn't happened to me yet; Kingston SSD for 2 years now, but I don't do a lot on the boot drive).

@thormj: Hey now, I don't know who's blowing what but there are KIDS in here...

@dmmutti: Tigerdirect often has better deals than Newegg... This is obviously not one of those times. Amazon generally beats both though and even when they don't quite beat them their customer service and return policies are so much better than either it's often worth whatever extra is spent.

@wyccad915: I just bought all the components for a new custom PC.

Every component at TigerDirect is now, after the sale, at the same price as NewEgg's price yesterday.

These really do suck.

@ikisat: You get a down vote for your Newegg/Tiger Direct comment and an up vote for everything else you said.

i did my first online purchase from Newegg 9 years ago, still my favorite site. By far the BEST customer service.
