Again with the voting down? The above comment was made before any coupon code was added to the listing (notice that it was edited? also, the title was edited to say coupon code). I went to the site and ordered one and paid shipping.

Very cool hat but may check back for the baseball hat which is more in my price range.

Coupons are not applicable to the hat on ebags

@jcdanner:
and ebag only has it in size medium

@jcdanner: I actually purchased the tarp hat from ebags during a site-wide sale.

@thomasr : Just search for 'tarp hat'. They have other sizes.

For those curious about the backstory, Woody Harrelson is an ardent environmentalist and wanted his Zombieland character's costume to include recycled/eco-friendly stuff. If memory serves his involvement in the film was contingent on some other requirements too, such as nobody eating meat during filming.

I have been looking for a Hat for the Lake. Good find!

I saw Woody interviewed about Zombieland. They had to make special soy-based Twinkies for the filming, since he refused to eat rael Twinkies.

I have one of these and I love it. It's ugly as sin, but I feel like I could use it for a zip line handle and it'd survive (Okay maybe not but these hats are tough)

My friend picked up the messenger bag, which was pricey but very cool, and I picked up the duffel bag, which was a little on the small side but it's my go-to travel bag now, since there's no confusing that bag with a normal duffel.

Do yourself a favor if you order direct from the company- they have requests, and ask for the ugliest motherf*cker they have in stock. Patches, holes, stitches, discolored pieces, you want it all. It gives the hat a lot of character.

Also note that when these hats get wet, they get stiff and rough. They aren't water proof, but in most rain they'll keep the rain out of your face and maintain their shape generally. I wouldn't waterproof these though, because why are you trying to preserve something that looks like this?

@bogus: Except the zombies, of course...

For such an environmentally-friendly product, the warning on ebags.com about this product is ironic, at best. "WARNING: This product contains a chemical known to the State of California to cause cancer, birth defects, or other reproductive harm." Take that Woody H.!!!

If you guys still want this hat after the coupon expires, bookmark this site - $5 less but you pay $5 shipping so it's the same as with coupon.

Just realized my wife would hate this hat. I'm going to ask for it for my Father's Day gift.

Just got it, and it's great! I may waterproof it because I wouldn't mind it to be a little darker.

I just got mine as well. It is hideous and awesome at the same time. I plan to waterproof it with beeswax. Not so much to preserve the hat, but the website warns that any significant exposure to rain will result in a soggy hat and water running down your neck. Funny, I thought a truck tarp would be waterproof.

I am not too pleased with them. I sent an email yesterday to check...did not even SHIP IT YET. ordered 6/2 - even before the free shipping coupon was added to the deal.
