No problem. Celsius is exactly the same as Fahrenheit... at -40º. Just set your freezer for -40 and it's all good.

Does anyone know if this will work for determining the temp of water? I'd love to use this in an aquarium.

@rotdrache: The probe (thermocouple) is waterproof, but the display is not. So.......

wish the operating range of the probe went higher, i need a cheap thermometer for making green tea without burning it...
