A good camera and lens.
Not top of the line but a great camera for almost every use.

List price is $549, commonly available at $499.

This is a great camera. I bought just the body last summer for $420 which was a deal. I've been very happy with it. I'd recommend buying a 50mm f2.8 lends for about $100 to go with it so you can take good low light pictures without flash.
