I had one of these last year, the arm slid off the metal rail. Exchanged it & the metal rail popped out of the foot. Finally took it back & got a refund. Very poor quality from my experience with 2 of them.
6 lbs? That's not bad.
They sell these things everywhere I go for about the same price. Hell, when I went to Dicks last week, they were on sale for 2 for $12.
Cause Oregon Trail was taken
As always, if you find a better deal on the same item, please post it. No one takes you seriously if you don't prove your claims of lower prices elsewhere.
Anyone know how the Ozark brand compares to others? I have two cheap ones, but I wouldn't mind paying another two bucks or so for something that will hold up, expecially with cup holders :)
They generally make very poor quality stuff. Ive bought a couple different items from them. Had a knife break,bad camping pad,a decent sleeping bag with temperamental zipper.
Kee-RIST! What to you folks want for a $9 chair? It's nine dollars. NINE. It's only going to last as long as one would THINK a nine dollar chair would last.
It's great that some of you have seen better deals. How wonderful for you. You lead a charmed and magic life. Now, why don't you SHARE your wonderful deal finding abilities with the rest of us! Not gonna share? Then shut the eff up. And yeah, I ended a sentence with a preposition. Deal with it.
BTW, not every one has a Dick's, Cabela's, Bass Pro, etc. near them.
Wow 2 legit comments, minus staff and @lavikinga.
I do need a new camping chair, but I want a heavy duty one. With a steel frame.
@guthwine: It's $9, you get what you pay for. Plan on replacing them yearly, they won't survive more than a season of camping or tailgating.
@hobbit: We have had these from Cabela's for years and have really held up well. http://www.cabelas.com/p-0024878516332a.shtml Yes, they are a bit pricey, but they are oversized. It can hold an adult AND a small-fry niece or nephew on your lap. My little brother is 6'5" and finds them a great fit as well. The only thing that would make them perfect would be a built in foot rest. They also open with one hand, more or less.
@lavikinga: "BTW, not every one has a Dick's, Cabela's, Bass Pro, etc. near them"
Then do what normal people do ODER THEM FROM THE INTERNET! DUH!
You id!ots order everyday items from Wal-Mart which everyone has close to them, so why not order nice items from companies you don't have close.
I've seen other Ozark Trail posts on here, and I always say the same thing. I've had good experiences with them. Are they truly trail ready? No. Are they good (cheap) backyard and tailgating items? Yes.
The best part about $9 chairs... you can afford to buy a couple of them. That way, when the $9 chair you are currently using finally breaks (as $9 chairs will eventually do), you have another one ready to go. So go ahead... go in for 3.
@kevskoolkars: Are you really that stupid or are you just having a bad day?
@kevskoolkars: TROLL!
Nine dollar junk. You're better off making your own chair out of a piece of wood and a few dead animals.
@luisibarra81: So don't buy it! God, I hate people...
@kevskoolkars: STFU or GTFO.
@kevskoolkars: While it might seem to you that the great Walmart empire has an outpost in every square mile of the US, I can assure you they do not. Not even close.
Like I said before, this is a deal for a nine dollar chair that gets shipped for FREE to the buyer's home. Nothing more, nothing less. Not every body can afford an expensive chair. This would be a deal for folks living in the middle of no where who just want something to get by.
Any one who has a better deal on a POS camp chair, then go ahead and post it. I don't understand every one's knickers getting in a twist over @claudicina's cheap a$$ deal. (Not hating on your deal, C.)
@luisibarra81: The famed applewood smoked bacon chair!?! I eagerly await your how-to post.
@adambenson: It's called a review benson. People hate you too.
@luisibarra81: Nowhere near as much as they hate you, troll...
@tygerdave: Yes, bacon is a very important ingredient needed when constructing a sturdy chair with materials found around your local wildlife habitat. Start off with a piece of hard wood like mesquite, oak or your more commonly found morning wood. After you have decided on which wood to use, gather any type of varmint which you can locally find and set them aside for your seat cushion. Squirrels, raccoons, bunny rabbits, etc. In my experience, bunny rabbits are easier to dress and clean. After you have gathered your cushion materials, go to your refrigerator and grab a pound of bacon. Cook the bacon thoroughly and place it on a pot with handles. Tie the bacon pot on to a tree limb and place your piece of wood right under it. The bacon will attract a plus size swimsuit wearing honey which will then jump on to your wood and compress your wood into a sturdy chair. After the plus size swimsuit honey eats the bacon, you can install your cushion, and enjoy your new homemade free chair.
@adambenson: Now kids, let's play nice. No bullying. It is just a 9.00 chair that I am pretty sure neither if you are buying.
I like kitties! ^-^
