DO NOT BUY WITH PAYPAL, I went to buy and now my account is limited because of potential threat. Going threw all kinds of security measures now.
Dumb question...what are these used for?
@mrryan34: To add bluetooth to a system that has USB, but not bluetooth.
I'm going to add it to a Raspberry Pi: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Raspberry_Pi
Code still works.
I paid with paypal and had no problems.
Bought one a while ago, got it and it does not work in Windows 7.
I'm not sure what I'm going to use it for, but woot, at less than a dollar, i'm sold.
@chameleon90: Do you have windows 7 x32 or x64?
It says in the product description that it only works for x32
Code still working, in for another one just to have it in case.
Just FYI on this item, I purchased one from Meritline about 2 years ago for a really good price like this, like $2 or something, however when I got it, I had to go to another website and actually purachase the software to make the thing work. The other software was $20, so you really aren't getting that good of a deal.
just grabbed it for $0.95 with free shipping....
Bought one a while back. Worked so intermittently it was worthless; it would only connect for seconds at a time. Bought one for $3 off of ebay that works a charm.
I got one about a year ago, and whenever I find a use for it, it's worked perfectly. I haven't used it for anything like a mouse or keyboard, but connecting to my phone works like a charm.
@bielebub Really? I just installed the drivers that my computer recommended.
@bielzebub: Broadcom bluetooth drivers. free
@awildmalcolm: I am not positive if I have the same exact one as in this deal, but my windows 7 x64 laptop did not recognize it.... but I did try all my USB ports and finally the drivers downloaded from Windows Update
In for 2, coupon code worked, no problems with paypal. Alls good.
@mrryan34: For example, my laptop does not have bluetooth built into it, so I could use this to allow me to connect bluetooth devices to my computer.
@jonah1369: I will have to try again, but I know that I did get the drivers by "less that legit means" the first time, and like fredwallace18 stated, would only work for a few minutes at a time. even with the driver from the manufacturer... Maybe I should try again
Has anyone else had trouble? I keep trying to add to my cart, and then it shows my cart is empty. It doesn't say out of stock or anything. Cookies are enabled, I signed up, tried everything I could think of...
1 worked for me just now.
I ordered a bluetooth adapter recently that looked exactly like this from another, notable ships-from-hong-kong distributor. Plugged it into Windows 7, Windows 7 installed it, Bluetooth manager popped up in my taskbar notification area, and was able to start syncing without issue.
Bought one of these a while back to use on a media PC for bluetooth KB/mouse access. Connectivity from just 6-8 feet away was terrible.
Not saying it won't work for phones, or won't work when things are very close, but I've had MUCH better luck with other, more expensive Bluetooth adapters.
Just FYI.
So far so good. In for 2
I bought one of these for my media center to be able to connect a PS3 dualshock 3 controller. They don't support EDR so it was a no go. As for basic functionality, Windows 7 x32 detected it, downloaded drivers and it worked fine. I've heard the story about paying for drivers on previous deals as well. Of course, there are people who also believe a Nigerian Prince needs help with bringing their money in to the US and chooses email addresses at random to bestow their millions upon just for helping them.

Not a bad price but not the latest generation (v4.0). Analman is anal about bluetooth specs. And what cdheer is saying its probably true which would make these almost usless for my kind of shenanigans unless I can string 10 together into an UVtooth.
