Free Songs: GET THE HOTTEST SONGS, FREE ON GOOGLE PLAY! - Music on Google Play
HEY FREE IS FREE!!!!
that is quite cool
I must be getting older since I only recognize one song in that list...
You're not old, those are some obscure songs. Makes since they are free, otherwise no one would hear them again.
@mrsly69: I think you mean makes "sense" rather than makes "since"?
Didn't know Google was doing music now, cool. Nothing there that seems to interest me a whole lot so far, but free music is awesome, upvote!
Digging the Matthew Sweet track. I liked "Girlfriend," "Evangeline" and his other hits from the 90's.
I recommend trying "Sun Hands" by the Local Natives. Heard it on World Cafe a year or so ago.
@teenracer6: im young and listen to alot of music. I know 4 of those artists. You're not alone buddy.
On the subject of Google Play and free songs: Am I the only one who cannot figure out how to get to the list of free songs from the Google Play app? I don't think it was hard to find it when I used the Android market app, but I updated it to Google Play and it's almost like they hid it or something. It has the free song of the day but no list of free songs.
Am I the only one who can't figure out how to get the music to download to my computer instead of staying on Goodle music?
I'm old, but knew 12 of these. I also recognized one other name, but wouldn't know the music if hit over the head with it. I'm do cool,I may just move to Williamsburg.
@kc6201: this is what your seeking ( I think) https://play.google.com/store/music/collection/series_overview_theme_2011_10_29
@jimmieb: If you don't want to install Google's Play Music Manager Desktop application you can only download the files twice buy clicking the little arrow in the bottom right buy the album cover or the little arrow at the end of the song. If you install the application you can download the MP3's an unlimited amount of times.
For anyone having problems finding the Desktop application (like I did). Here is the link http://support.google.com/googleplay/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=2500610
@dscarmardo: Yes, thanks, but I was wondering why I can't find that through the new Google Play app. It's what you use now to purchase stuff off the Android market on your tablet or phone or whatever. (The Android market has been re-branded as Google Play.) I suppose I could still navigate to the page through a browser on my tab, but I was just wondering why it doesn't seem to show up on the app at all.
Thanks Sega! Appreciate the help!
I have never heard of any of these songs, no wonder they are free.
