"Bad reviews" is an understatement. I wouldn't trust one of these if it were given to me for free. I've never had good luck with any Sentry-branded "security" products.

@glindagw: Per Sentry: While this model has an electronic lock, (4) locking bolts, and can be bolted down to deter theft, it is not burglary rated.

Isn't the point of a safe to keep thieves out and protect what's inside from fire/water, etc?

With any safe though, you will want to insert some type of moisture capturing device like DampRid (Refillable Moisture Absorber) or some other desiccant which can be obtained from Lowes or the like. Otherwise, your dollar bills and other papers are going to have a mildew smell and feel wet.

@jockovonred: My interest in a safe is simply fire protection for family videos, etc. (And yes, I know I need to get them transferred to DVD.) Burglary is way down the list.
