@makinmedia: It's also sold by the same company on Amazon. >_>

Granted, if you buy it there, Amazon gets to make a little extra off of your purchase.

I don't know if these are any better (likely not just based on the model #s), but I bought the CX 215s from Amazon a couple weeks ago based on the good reviews and returned them. The sound was very hollow/tinny and distant and performed a lot worse than the cheap $6-$7 Panasonic Ergofit HJE-120s I use regularly as throwaround and gym buds. Those sound great, as do the Monoprice 8320s which are $7.

Both the Panasonics and Monoprice buds get great reviews across the board, including from PCmag and head-fi.org forum regulars.

Isn't this a J&R "deal"? ...what does woot have to do with it other than taking J&R's money for this sponsored post?

Newegg is offering free shipping, so with the code it came to $19.25 total.

@thericochet: if these are anything like the cx300s i have you need a perfect seal and then the bass and general sound is really good. granted, if those monoprice ones are cheaper and aren't as finniky about the seal then i suppose those are a better deal regardless.

I took a chance on these a couple of months ago because I have previously owned the cx150 and the cx300 versions and was very satisfied with them, but the sound on the cx200's is unbelievably untuneable, making them the worst set of head phones I have ever owned. The sound you get from the disposable headphones you get during flights is much better than these. I would not recommend the cx200's to anyone.
