@gidgaf: Pretty sure that requires an external power adapter, one of the big advantages of a 2.5" external is all you have to do is plug it into the computer.

That being said, some of the small cheap externals are known to be unreliable, anybody know how this one stacks up?

Only has a 1 year warranty. That's (profanity) by hard drive standards.

@bogus: There is no place to plug in a power adapter, so this one is powered off the USB port. Good deal, I bought a 500gb Seagate last week for $40.

@thecheeseman: From what I understand, a lot of the HD manufacturers have lowered the warranty period of their portable hard drives to a year because portables are more likely to get thrown around a lot more and suffer a lot more abuse.

Good deal for a drive that runs off USB power. Those suggesting plug-in models are comparing apples with oranges. That said, it looks like the seller raised the price $30 after selling a TON of these.
