As the website says, this is the "Deluxe Mystery Box-O-Crap"... not only does it have a cool title, but it even adds the cool subtitle as being "For those who enjoy the finer crappy things in life." Pretty brilliant title usage.
Retail value is posted at $200, so hopefully its value is true, but as a younger woot!er, I've never had the opportunity to actually snag any BOC, so maybe this is a worthwhile shot. For all you Woot!ers in search of a BOC, Carpe Diem!

IHTHT stinks. I've had several disputes with them over products that arrived broken - and their helpdesk system is laughingly incompetent. In the end - i never got my items replaced or refunded, and they lost a customer.

google the amount of people complaining about them... they are potentially the worst DotD site i've ever used...

just a cautionary note from one wooter to another.

i have only ordered one thing from them so far - natural dog treats (only had to pay for shipping), other than slow delivery time my order was fine.

wow, I couldn't disagree more with your complaint about IHTHT. I have ordered from them for years now with never a problem. only dod site i have seen with a phone number you can just call and get help! maybe just because i have ordered so much with them, but i usually get something free in my order every time. they do ship kind of slow....but i havent found a dod that doesnt. even our beloved woot :)

It might be because I got "shagged" (they basically send you a big box of random crap, including a sweet LCD multi-purpose remote and nice headphones and a large pack of rewritable DVDs. Other stuff I've gotten from them hasn't been the greatest (quality wise) but I've never had a complaint with them, and always got what I paid for.

My sister and I have each ordered a number of times from this site and never once a problem. Slow shipping, yes, but remember: you get what you pay for.

@gchinkin: "shagging" is on thing fling... one of their employees is nicknamed shaggy, and he'll send out a few special boxes every now and then just as you said. You seem to be confusing the two sites. I happen to like thing fling - no problems with them. IHTHT however - i still stand by my original post.

Please Woot - Keep your great name away from IHTHT.

I signed up for their cool membership, advertising 1 hour advanced notice before non-members can snag up their product. I find that this 1 hour advanced notice is generally 4 - 10 hours after the product posts to their website. After seeing that, I signed up one of my email accounts as a non-paying member and got the exact same notice within 2 minutes of the paid account receiving it. (Mail header shows send from their mailserver in the same 1.5 minute period).

Instead of fixing it, they lie to me about advanced notice and now they canceled my 'Cool Club' membership without refund. I've filled with BBB as well as posting on ResellerRatings.com hoping to warn others about this site.

Also my last product - the Halloween Mystery box has a defective halloween mask. I don't trust them to make it right so money lost.
