This cable supposedly has the correct wiring to prevent the Xbox from resetting when changing HDMI inputs. Apparently it is a common problem for non-OEM Xbox cables.

Good deal, but S&H puts the price about a dollar above Amazon's with Amazon Prime shipping.

If you do not have a Prime account, or are planning to buy multiple things from Monoprice, it is definitely worth it.

I just split the case off of the cable that came with the xbox, then they both fit. After moving it from place to place so many times, though, the cable is falling apart and the audio cuts out. This deal is greatly appreciated, and sorely needed. I can't tell you how furious I was that Microsoft manufactured their cable's shape to block the HDMI port, so that you have to buy something like this (which they sold at the time for $30).

@sizzlestick: Check the Amazon reviews and you will see that it apparently is a different cable that causes a problem when switching HDMI inputs on your TV, receiver, etc. It apparently causes the Xbox to restart. I'd rather pay a dollar or two more to get something that works correctly.

That being said, I do not have actual experience with either Amazon or Monoprice's cable since I just ordered the Monoprice and am only going by the Amazon reviews.

Amazon may be cheaper, but the monoprice adapter is the only one that's consistently void of the rebooting problem. I ordered one from monoprice for myself.

If you do decide to order one from Amazon, pay close attention to the reviews.
