Serenity (Widescreen) - DVD for $3.99
Available in the store.
Capt. Malcolm "Mal" Reynolds (Nathan Fillion), who fought as an Independent in the galactic war, is the head of Serenity, a rogue frieghter ship whose crew includes Mal's first mate, Zoe (Gina Torres), who fought alongside him in the war, her husband, hotshot pilot Wash (Alan Tudyk), sunny but dependable mechanic Kaylee (Jewel Staite), and hard-nosed gunman Jayne (Adam Baldwin). The crew of Serenity wander the galaxy, taking on whatever work they can get, from criminal activities like smuggling and stealing to legitimately offering transport to travelers. Now the Alliance is hot on the heels of Serenity and its passengers, with The Operative (Chiwetel Ejiofor), a sinister Alliance tracker, leading the chase.
Just watched this movie today and bring back Firefly ;p
"Eta Kooram Nah Smech!"
(since all the browncoats probably have this video on DVD, Bluray, and HD-DVD already, they might not be looking at this deal tonight)
Can't help but wonder, every time I see these offers... Wouldn't most fans of the show already own the movie?
None available in the KC area.
@kinglouie951: What about all the people who haven’t seen the movie?
i own two copies...might have to look into picking up one or two more for friends though.
As true Firefly fans, we do own them; however, as fans, we are always introducing more and more friends and strangers to the series and movie who watch it on Netflix, on Science Channel, or borrow our copies. Now they are hooked and must purchase their own copies. When deals arise, we forward them the woot! deals! page so they can buy their own copies. Then they introduce people, who need their own copies. We will always need Firefly deals! so please try to take comfort that when you see these deals listed, they are truly accomplishing the goals of this woot! website, far more than lingerie ads, regionally limited Papa Johns deals, or worst of all, the people who spam off-brand power tools and near brand-name retail prices.
@kinglouie951: I don't know how many times I've heard a Firefly fan say "I just gave my copy of Serenity away, I have to get another one."
