Speed — 10MB/sec. read, 5MB/sec. write

Not a bad deal, but bring a book if you want to use this thing to capacity.

@eghazali: wish i read your post before I bought two of these. I'll lose them in a week anyway.

I tried to check out with Paypal and they tacked on $5.95 for S/H and sales tax to boot. Same price on ebay from another dealer. I'll buy it there.
Good grief!

@eghazali: Your comment intrigued me. I found a website that purports to benchmark USB flash drives including any that you personally own by downloading their benchmark program. You can also share your results.

I haven't tried it but I searched for several drives. Like all benchmarking ,your mileage may vary.

@spanky: Thanks for the link, I'll use that next time I'm shopping for a flash drive. The speeds I posted are from the bay product page, did you see different ones on the site you found?

Marketing is a bit deceptive on this one. Writing "DataTraveler Generation 3 USB" sort of implies USB 3.0 support. Something like "DataTraveler (3rd generation) USB 2.0 drive" would be preferred. As @eghazali noted above, the speeds are hardly impressive.
