30 in 1 Screw Driver Tool Kit for $2.69 + free shipping
Its back - the cheap screwdriver kit!
I already own 5 of these kits. They have lots of unusual bits, along with the usual flat and phillips.
Not the greatest quality metal, but they do the job. Yes they will bend if you force them, so don't. Use them for small projects with a small amount of force. Hopefully you'll be lucky and the case will not get cracked in the long trip from the other side of the planet.
Use coupon MLCKWDHNL1 for the cheap price.
You have to sign up to get email, but you can always un-sign tomorrow.
There are only 500 available. They go fast! Usually gone by lunch time!
The stuff they sell isn't just Chinese crap, it is crap multiplied times a gazillion. I ordered around 35 different things in 1 purchase...made for some great laughs. The washcloths I bought were 2 X 2". anyone else been burnt by these jokesters?
I own several of these as well. Two arrived with the plastic cases shattered, and the last one I bought had a defective handle. The hole that accepts the bits was egg shaped and none of the bits would fit into it.
The two previous comments made me laugh. It's funny because it's sooooo true. Rule of thumb when buying from Meritline - always buy two because 99% of the time one of them will be junk/unusable.
I've bought a lot of things from Meritline including flashlights, lanterns, batteries, small tools like this, HDMI switches, toys, and a ton of other stuff. I honestly have never had something come broken. The only issue I ever had with them was one shipment never arrived and they immediately sent me out a new one when I reported it. No, this stuff isn't craftsman, but I haven't found to be that bad.
I haven't had the... pleasure of ordering from Meritline yet, but we'll give it a go!
I've missed out on this exact deal a few times and at worst, I'm out $2.69 and -maybe- I can use either the tool or the bits with other precision sets I have lying around...
Maybe I should just buy a good set...... hmmmmmm
I have 3 of these sets. The bits are soft, so don't think you will be able to use a lot of pressue. It a screw is too tight, you can easily strip these bits with your own strength.
I use these for working on small electronics. The work perfectly for that.
I went to the website to order this but, the price I got (after the coupon) was roughly $4.42 each. Am I missing something?
@skoffer: yep. Used MLCKWDHNL1 Still $4.42.
After using the coupon code, you still have to click on "Apply".
I used too much force on a screw. Bit is ok; inner part of handle came loose from outer part, so handle swivels with no rotation of bit. Use carefully.
@slkdnichols: I just did it and the code worked for me.
@slkdnichols: The coupon is only good on a single item. And yeah, it's worth the price.
I have one of these and, as other posters have said, it works fine for small projects like electronics. Don't think you are going to remodel a bathroom or change some spark plugs with these, but if you use them to say, fix a pair of glasses they work great with all the little bits.
yeah i bought one of these and the second time i used it the handle was so flimsy that it got bent out of shape from simply tightening a screw. worthless.
