I would suggest this version which is $10.99. http://www.amazon.com/Donnie-Darko-10th-Anniversary-Blu-ray/dp/B004ZBFRTY/ref=sr_1_4?s=movies-tv&ie=UTF8&qid=1326907787&sr=1-4 It has both the original and directors cut of the movie included. While I have not personally watched the directors cut I have heard some pretty bad things about it (people claim it ruins the movie) so this will allow you to hedge your bet as to which version you would rather watch of this great film.

Ugh, that Director's Cut is pretty awful. The original is one of my all-time faves. Just the music changes alone destroy the impact in the Director's Cut.

I love that you added "rabbit" as one of the tags.

@raider9924: Both Blu-ray releases (2009 "Directors Cut" and 2011 "10th Anniversary") have both cuts of the film, in fact the "10th Anniversary" set is the exact same Blu-ray discs. See this review:

The 10th Anniversary set adds 2 more discs: The original DVD release, and a Digital Copy.

Finally, Walmart has the 2-disc 2009 Blu-ray for $10:

This is one of those few instances where the theatrical release is vastly superior to the director's cut. Avoid this version at all costs.
