So I've given this a try and I have to say I don't see a noticeable difference in my cakes. I also don't see any difference in taste so at least there is no harm in experimenting with it. Cakes that were sifted, used extrafine sugar, and had the butter and sugar creamed together to extra fluffiness showed no difference whether this stuff was added or not. However I highly suggest you give this product a try.
