The Hakko FM-204 is a "self-contained" desoldering station with all the "soldering" functionality of the FM-203 in a single-port station.

So, I may be wrong and feel free to correct me on this, but isn't this just a $640 adjustable temp soldering iron? Seems a little pricy to me...

@pkrzycki: It has a vacuum pump for desoldering. Too bad the tips aren't included.

Hakko is good stuff; expect to pay > $100 for a good soldering iron (Metcal, Hakko, X-Tronic [X-Tronic isn't in the same league, but if it keeps working it'll performs ok).

I still like Metcal ($500 MSRP!) best because the interchangable tips work soo much better than the other guys (grab and pull out using a silicone pad -- no unscrewing or other nonsense).
