^By the way you sell the website anyone that went to it and spent money would have to be "high"

@timmy4571: you must be "high" your sentence makes no sense

is this a deal? I tried to do some math in my head of this deal versus what I can get on amazon.
that didn't work out.

@luke975: I'm not sure what you're seeing on Amazon, but the best deal I saw there was at http://www.amazon.com/Jack-Links-Teriyaki-2-Ounce-Packages/dp/B000GW0U3E/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1376067575&sr=8-2&keywords=Jack+Link%27s+Teriyaki+Beef+Steak which offers a pack of 12 2-oz packages (just like this one) for $21.33. This posted deal offers the same amount for $9.99. Did you find a better deal on Amazon? I could have missed it so please post a link. My kids love this stuff.

It says these are 8/10 of an ounce. Where do you get 2 ounces? So these would come out to about $1.04 per ounce compared to about .89 from Amazon. Not trying to rain on your deal....just stating the facts.

@belyndag: These are about 6" long, weighing 0.8oz. That means you're getting 12 x 0.8oz = 9.6oz total. At $9.99, that comes out to be about $1.04 per oz. The Amazon sticks are 10" long, weighing 2oz each. The deal gives you 12 sticks, or 24oz. At $21.33, that comes out to about $0.89 per oz. This deal is 17% more expensive than that on Amazon, which is pretty significant.

Even with Sales Tax, which Amazon charges, their deal is still cheaper. Go for the ones on Amazon unless you're into portion control, and are willing to pay $0.15 more per oz for it.

@mortiki: There was a spam comment that i was pointing out. not the woot deal. but it got deleted. my sentence made perfect sense in the context i was using it.

vote-for1vote-against

@belyndag: No, the Amazon deal is not "just like this one." The 13deals description states, "Each beef jerky stick is 6.25" long and weighs .8oz." The Amazon sticks are 10" long and 2oz each.

@grush1: Yikes! You're right! I was comparing to the wrong one on Amazon! My bad. I should know better than to try Wooting while at the beach. I should be vacationing!

I just triple checked Amazon and can't find the same item at the 0.8 oz size, but I did find this one with 12-1 oz. sticks for $15.48. Too lazy from beach and sunburn to do the math now, but I guess it's a better comparison.

Still not a bad deal.

@sdc100: Please see my reply below. I goofed. Mea culpa.

@belyndag: Yeah, it's not too bad, really. In convenience stores they can run a lot more. Thanks for posting all the deals you do.

@belyndag: Not a problem. To tell you the truth, when I got the email from 13deals, I nearly posted it too. In fact, I was in the process of ordering it when I discovered the issue. 13deals has had other Jack Link deals in the past and they were always huge bargains (mostly because the jerkies were nearing their expiration dates). I was a constant customer! I'm ashamed to say it but these things have so much preservative and salt that I'd eat them even months after the expiration date without fear of spoilage. :)

@sdc100: Their past bargains on jerky are part of what made me assume that this was just a good of a bargain. Rather unlike them to offer a deal that isn't so great. Love me some jerky! I've made it at home a few times, but with the humidity down here it takes FOREVER and I end up having to refrigerate it, anyway. I would much rather just buy this stuff.
