I have a different version. It's a higher number in the 800's I think. They are basically the same though. Mine came with an RF wireless receiver, not sure if it's available for this one or not. That makes it so I can control a device and not be in line of site like the IR. The best thing about this remote is it will turn on (in order) all the components and settings to do a particular function. Called the activities menu. For example, if I want to watch my Blu Ray player, you have one button to press (named whatever you want)and it will turn on the TV and set it to the proper video input, then it will turn on my HDMI switch to #2, then turn on the Blu-Ray Player. Later one button turns them all off. Made my wife a lot happier now that she doesn't have to ask my son to set stuff up to watch something.

FYI - this model is/was only sold at Target stores, which is where I purchased mine approx. 2 years ago. It has been a good remote, I believe I paid $89.99 for mine at the time during an in-store sale. Sadly, I changed DVR boxes in December 2009, and cannot get the remote to acknowledge when it is plugged into the USB cable and a computer, meaning I'm stuck with the programming that is on the remote.
Again, all of that said - this is a SUPER deal for a remote that will do what much more expensive remotes do.

@peaty: same here. I have the 800 something model too. The remote makes TV to movie night to TV too easy. I'm not sure aobut this model, but mine came with a recharging caddy - so no more batteries to change.
