I have the older model for my home. Has anyone had any luck with refurb's?

These remotes are the best i have used. Very easy to setup and program with a great help system.

Can't speak to the refurbs, but this is by far the best remote I've ever used. And I've owned several expensive remotes in the past.

Great remote. I have owned two Harmony One refurb units for about two years now and have been very satisfied. Would buy refurb again in a heartbeat- especially at this price.

Saw this deal on here last week and bought one...have had it for a few days and it is amazing. No issues with the refurb...looks and acts like brand new,

I never understood the Harmony One. It doesn't offer many oft-used features over the 650 , but is much more expensive.

I got a refurbished 670 as a gift nearly 3 years ago. Initially frowned upon it being a refurb, but it has performed flawlessly. I don't hesitate at all on a good refurbished item thanks to this. Good as new as far as I could tell, just in a plain box.

Thinking of upgrading and moving the 670 to the bedroom, but I have the button layout on it memorized...

I've had 3 refurbished Logitech remotes and they've all been solid. It's so nice to have EVERYTHING on one remote and not have to constantly play "Find the remote," which always seems to happen at the worst opportunities.

I've owned a few Harmony 880s before and cradle stops charging it after awhile. That seems to a common complaint with that remote. Is the Harmony one any better? I noticed that it charges in a similar method.

@wfarmer: I've had my Harmony One for about 3 years now, maybe 4, and never had any issues with charging. I did have to replace the battery once but no issues with the cradle.

Ref the 880's not charging note above, I had an 880 and had the same issue after a year or so. But, I soldered three balls of solder on the cradle contacts and have not had an issue since. I think the problem was weak springs on the cradle contacts that did not force the contact upward enough to make contact with the back of the remote. My remote is about 6 or 7 years old and has been a work horse ever since the fix.

I bought one of these to replace the 880 only due to its age. Moving it to the bedroom.

I decided to give Logitech another chance with their remotes but their site says that the discount code is invalid. Is this deal dead?

@gwbaker: Thanks for the info. Maybe my Harmony 880 only needs a bit of solder and a new battery to get back to life. I'll give it a try if there's a chance it'll make it functional again.

Just got mine delivered last night, spent about 30 minutes with it this morning after letting it charge and I couldn't be happier. I showed my wife how to use it and she is thrilled, especially after we put away the four old remotes!

Looks like the deal is dead now though, I was just thinking of getting one for my dad for x-mas.

Got mine today. Charged it for hours. Still wouldn't turn on. Then I opened up battery compartment. No battery. Anyone else get one without a battery? And if you did get one with a battery was in inside the remote already or separate? I searched the packaging and found nothing.

My battery was in the box in a small bag, not in the remote.

i bought a refurbished 720 3 years ago it works great. Be aware that the great tech support stops after 90 days! don't know about you but I continue to add components to my system. Support could care less after the 90 day period. t took days of searching for paid support and the it didn't work. I paid thirty dollars for nothing.
