So this is who bought them all last wootoff

vote-for4vote-against

I have a few of these at home myself...

vote-for3vote-against

this thing saved my basement just this past saturday, well worth $15

vote-for5vote-against

I am gonna hide one of these next to my toilet to catch the bastard that keeps peeing on my floor!

vote-for1vote-against

If the house is very quiet, I can even hear them from my second floor.

vote-for2vote-against

I got a pair of these in a particularly crappy box of crap. I have no use for them at all. If you want a pair of these cover shipping and you can have my unused set.

I mean, if you are giving them away, I will take them. I planned to purchase 4 for my basement...one for the water softener, one for the sump pump, one for the ejector pump and one for the hot water tank.

@giovannib: How much is shipping to 12020, my mom could use these in her basement!

vote-for1vote-against

I wonder if you can use these for bed-wetters? :)

vote-for1vote-against

I have all I need, under every sink in the house and the washer and water tank. Just ordered some for a friend. Cheaper than Woot's.

vote-for1vote-against

I bought some off Woot a long time ago and they've saved me in the past. If only we still had them in place 2 weeks ago when a pipe under the kitchen sink broke. Would have save hours of work and a room's worth of carpet. Dang.

Ripoff alert: this is a 2 pack in which they charge $15 for each leakfrog as well as $4 shipping total. Don't bother.

vote-for1vote-against

@tesla33: It comes to $17.00 for a two pack with shipping. You must have misread the ad.

vote-for3vote-against

@jsteed8: The ejector pump shouldn't really leak if it fails... it'll just let all the goodies come back up the toilet and into the tub.

That was a fun day when ours went... flush the toilet, and it returns a surprise!

These have saved my bacon a number of times, most recently with the heavy rains in the northeast. When the water started trickling in to our basement, I was on the 2nd floor in bed and heard the beeping, giving me ample warning to run down there with a shop vac and keep the water from spreading to all parts of the basement. Another time, the pullable head of the kitchen faucet came slightly unscrewed, and water started dripping down into the kitchen cabinet, setting off the leak frog and warning me enough in advance that I was able to fix the problem before the water got everywhere. They're nice and loud, have a little button on top to test the alarm, and are kinda cute. The only downside compared to other models is that you can't detach the water sensor and place it separately from the alarm speaker (I used to do this with a water sensor hanging into a sump pit). But, for this deal of $17 for 2, these are no-brainers.

I ordered a set for my parents—their sump pump runs constantly because there's an underground spring right under the house (common in our area). My dad has used a non-frog alarm for decades, and it has saved his hide at least half a dozen times over the years. He mentioned recently that his current alarms (which are probably older than you) are on the fritz, so he'll be pleasantly surprised, and maybe a little befuddled, when these arrive on his doorstep. $17 shipped is a good price, especially for two of them.

We have 6 of these throughout our home and they have saved us 3 times in 2 months! Also, gave a set to my Father In Law and saved his basement and washing machine last week. GOOD BUY!

vote-for1vote-against

I ordered and it came out to $17 for one set with shipping. This is actually a dollar cheaper than they were offered recently on woot, good deal!

vote-for1vote-against

Why not. Bought a set of two to try out.

vote-for1vote-against

@elwrayswrecker - I think I could also have the issue in my basement with the ejector...being it runs the first floor first bath....floaters in the tub would be more pleasant than floaters on my basement carpet :-)

Also, why the limit of 3 per order?

vote-for1vote-against

Tried to order these... but they no longer show up on the site. Are they gone?

vote-for1vote-against

I can't find them anywhere on the site! Is the deal dead?

vote-for1vote-against

great for aquarium owners w/overflowing skimmers....like me.

vote-for1vote-against

Just had an email, they're having a problem with their supplier. Now supposed to ship on 4/22. I hope so.

vote-for1vote-against

Yeah, mine were supposed to be shipped the 22nd also. No sign of them yet.

BUT...one of my old ones (at least three years old) went off tonight. No water around. Wouldn't stop chirping until we took a battery out. This could be a new scary movie. WHEN LEAK FROGS GO BAD.
