This was my first impulse buy in a while. Totally worth it.

Too bad, they soldered USB interface inside the Hard drive case. Was hoping for SATA interface inside so i can take it out and put in computer.

Looks about $20 cheaper than anywhere else. Very very tempting.

I have to make a NEW account to buy this?!

Boo.

vote-for0vote-against

the same thing was on Buy.com a month ago and was same price when applied with a $10 temporary coupon.

I have a slightly smaller [url=http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002KGBOQ6/ref=s9_simh_se_p147_d0_i1?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=auto-no-results-center-1&pf_rd_r=3583D3363CB647FB8CE7&pf_rd_t=301&pf_rd_p=1263465782&pf_rd_i=wdbaaa3200abl-00]previous model[/url] that I bought as a refurb 2 years ago. It's a good little drive.

Gonna get one for my sister (needs a more portable backup), and maybe a new one for me, just to be safe.

EDIT: WTF? Why doesn't [url] [/url] work like it does elsewhere on Woot. How are other people making hyperlinks?

/Gaaahh!

seems to be a reasonable price as drive prices and size aren't decreasing and increasing at the moment. However, if you have spare HDD to use say before nov this year, perhaps one can wait.

look on your local craigslist for deals on hard drives, i just bought a external hd 2tb for 20 dollars

so when i go to order this item (to add to an order), you know who i am to post a comment, but have no idea who i am for payment purposes... hmmm, awesome!

This will go with my other Passport. I can now store the World.

Would have been in for one and another deal, but don't want to sign-up for another site.... thought the account/cred's may transfer since actually trying to buy it from the w00t site... too bad....

vote-for2vote-against

@raymonorange and @cuervo1800... the site linked (1saleaday) isn't actually a Woot site. The FAQ explains that here: http://deals.woot.com/faq

Is this a 2.5 or 3.5 inch drive? I want to take it out and use it for something else.

@robio: the bbcode is slightly different here, I guess. Links work this way.

@navthesav: It honestly sounds like it was stolen or purchased with a stolen CC.

vote-for2vote-against

@garyhgaryh: 2.5", but I've seen people say that the usb connector is soldered to the PCB of the hard drive, so it might not be doable, or not straight forward to do anyway.

1salesday.com won't let have a different shipping address. Does anyone know how to get around that?

vote-for1vote-against

@tnghau: Change the address on file with your credit card company, or add a new shipping address to PayPal. They may require a confirmed address, in which case you'd still have to update the one on file with the card issuer. You can change it back after confirming and then keep using it.

vote-for1vote-against

@garyhgaryh: The PCB board has no SATA connector. special board that goes straight to USB

vote-for1vote-against

@spectral: Changing address on my credit card is not an option. I ended up setting an new PayPal account do it.

vote-for1vote-against

Just tried to order it, but it gave an error-- used paypal instead and that wouldn't work.

Checked my pending transactions and I was charged 4 times.

I know these things happen but... did it go through? I'm confused.

vote-for2vote-against

@montrayjak: Send them an email immediately. I'd put something in there like "I want to order one, but need to make sure the other three charges are reversed or simply not processed if possible." It's Friday, so who knows if you'll get an answer before Monday. Also check with your bank or whoever issued the card, and see how many times you were charged.

Others may have additional (or better) advice, but that's what I would do at this point.

@rprebel: thanks! I ended up taking your advice, but no response yet
