Gordon can talk! Inspired by "Hero of the Rails", the engines on Sodor can talk. Press Gordon's Coal Bin to hear him say, "Hello, I'm Gordon" or "Clickety Clack Express on the Track" or "Fastest and Best I pull the express" or sound his special whistle.

James (red) has a somewhat inflated self-image, and thinks of himself as truly splendid. But all trains on Sodor must work, so James’ attitude gets him into scrapes. “Hero of the Rails” was the first Thomas film where engines spoke their own lines instead of being narrated. Talking James speaks for himself: push on his funnel to hear him say three different phrases. Includes James’s tender, working headlamp, and a splendid whistle.
