Is there any chance at all that this will activate on Steam as well?

@theliman2000: I didn't take advantage if this particular deal, but the code I received via uPlay from the AMD Never Settle promo would not activate on Steam.

This game is played via U-Play. aka Ubisoft's version of Steam. I just purchased it, but I have yet to DL it.

If anyone is able to get this code to work on Steam... please let us know!

I got Far Cry 3 from steam during the winter sale. The way it works, I think is a bit ridiculous. So I downloaded/installed it via steam, once it was done and I went to play it, it opened up uPlay installer and made me install uPlay. Now when I go to play the game I have to open steam > click play to play Far Cry > which then opens uPlay > where there I also have to click play > then it launches the game. So then I thought to myself, well I might as well just ignore opening steam since I have to use uPlay to launch the game. Well, to my surprise, if I just open uPlay it does not show that I have Far Cry 3! not sure why. So no matter what I have to start it through steam first. Seems a bit backwards to me. Just wanted to shed some insight since people are asking about activating it on steam... don't see the point in doing that.

I did a little google-searching and it seems that this company buys cheap keys in other countries and sells them in the US. I don't know how Ubisoft feels about that, but if you were to buy foreign Steam keys, and Valve figured that out, you could lose your entire account.
