Look closely and you will see that its not Canon, its Caniam. They also have some Nikon lenses, only its Nicam.

Discount code didn't work. Still, neat item

@suryasahu: Is that just on the bag? I don't see any sort of brand name, fake or otherwise, on the mug itself.

This one http://www.meritline.com/coffee-mug-ef100mm-lens-stainless-thermos-cup---p-92448.aspx says Caniam on the lens cap and on the side so I would assume its possible for the original link to have it on there.

@first2summit: If you use the zoom on the second (lying down) image, you can read the brand.

Code worked fine at 11:05AM EDT. Comes with free shipping but the site will try to switch it on you.

@thelocker: Thanks. I wonder why they bothered to put a fake name. It'd be better without one.

Fairly cool, but I own that lens, and sitting it on the mount end makes it fairly unstable, and I'd think being filled with liquid would just make it worse. Not exactly what I'd pick to hold piping hot coffee. However, if you're into photography, the sale price wasn't bad for a conversation piece.

FWIW, both Canon and Nikon sell these mugs on authentic lens bodies on their sites from time to time. But to Meritline's credit, the price is not bad for these copies.

@suryasahu: Yeah, but they are the lenses with the red ring, rather than the chrome rings, so you know they are automatically better!

@suryasahu: I've heard hit or miss reviews on Amazon, some people saying the logo that comes on the lid and lens DO say Canon while other times they say, like you said Caniam or Canaan. Still a good price for someone who doesn't care, and I'm sure most people not into photography won't even notice the typo.
