An extraordinarily underrated side-scroller, and one of my favorites of all time (going back to the NES and SNES days, surely gaming's "Greatest Generation")

This game is extremely easy—indeed, you can't even die—but where most other easy games are boring, this one is consistently engaging and inexplicably soothing. Simple but satisfying tactile controls; linear but magical environments; and full of imaginative gameplay flourishes. Throw in beautiful, inventive graphics, a calming classical-sonata-inspired soundtrack, and two-player co-op (which I presume would be fantastic to play with kids), and you've got a real winner.

For $10, if you have a Wii, buy this now. Even though it may be considered a "kid's game," it is "play" in the truest sense of the word, and even us adults need that now and then.

@dupedyetagain: I agree. I own this game already and it's a lot of fun for kids and adults.

Wonderful game. This game was developed late in the Wii's lifetime and takes full advantage of every ounce of its processing power. It's easily one of the best looking (and playing) Wii games. I've probably given six different copies of this game out as xmas presents.

Can't wait for the next game to follow this format, with Yoshi as the star this time!

My girlfriend and I played this game to completion. One of the best video game experiences I have had. We laughed together at the cheesy narration and had fun yelling at each other about not bumping each other off the edges. So much fun!

This got me browsing Wal-Mart's other cheap games. Notably, in this Wii 3-for-$20 deal ( http://www.walmart.com/ip/Nintendo-Wii-3-for-20-Video-Game-Bundle-Wii/22036610 ) it looks like Epic Yarn can be picked for both top and bottom choices, so it can be like getting two $10 copies plus something else free. Or one $10 copy and two other games for $10.
