For those who don't know, Amazon's pricing seems to be controlled by a crack-addled monkey. Prices sometimes rise or fall by multiple percent and go back to the starting point within an hour. Sometimes more than once in an hour.
If you want to make sure you're getting a good price - and, hey, that's why we're all here on deals.woot, right? - then you need a way to track historical pricing for the item you're considering.
There are a few sites dedicated to doing just that. Today I offer up my go-to site:
Grab the ASIN (listed under the "Product Details”) of whatever product you want to track and plug it into CamelCamelCamel.com to view historical pricing.
They also have a Firefox addin that will help you track prices at Amazon, Best Buy and Newegg!
Or you can set up an alert to be emailed when (or if) a given product drops below a certain price.
