I have a pair very similar (might be the exact same ones) that I use when things get noisy around cubeville and I need to concentrate. They work well at blocking out a majority of the outside noise. And they sound pretty good for music as well. Probably not up to audiophile standards. But they're like $8, so that's not surprising.
