I just wanted to add that the deal (2 for $3.79) is only for "Balance Reward" card members.

Beware: Last time these were on sale I price compared at Amazon and found the Wasabi & Soy Sauce on sale for $14.97 for three one-pound bags. I went crazy and bought 36 pounds worth. They're making me sick, yet I can't stop eating them!

So, two lessons here: First off, don't buy too many; they'll be on sale again. But secondly, check out Amazon; even at a typical ~$20 sale for three pounds, it's a better deal than these.

@vladistov: "even at a typical ~$20 sale for three pounds, it's a better deal than these." You should re-check your math. At two six-ounce cans for $3.79, the price is $5.05 per pound. So three pounds would be $15.15, which is essentially equal to the $14.97 you paid and far lower than the "typical ~$20 sale" that you quoted from Amazon.

However, one of the big issues with these sales on the six-ounce cans is that you can't order more than two of each flavor. It would be preferable to get them from a source where they don't limit what you can purchase.

Last I checked there were 16 ounces to a pound so check your math, sir.

I just bought 6 oz cans at Target for $2.49 each. That is regular price too, not a sale.

@klsherrer: That sounds like a regular price, as it's 32% more than this sale price...two cans for $3.79 vs. Target's two cans for $4.98.

Fun fact: The plastic lids on these Blue Diamond cans are a perfect fit for Friskies cat food cans (and some other brands as well).

@cleverett: Hah, very cool. Thanks for the tip.

@gyrkin: A step was skipped. $3.79 for 12 ounces means a pound is (4/3)*3.79 and a quick estimate tells me that's about 3.79+1.25 which would land close enough to $5.05 for my taste.

@cleverett thanks for clarifying that. I was thinking the price was $3.79 each! Read twice, comment once...

@cleverett: Thanks for catching that; I forgot to account for the free can!

The rest of the information stands, though; there is not necessarily good reason to 'stock up' over a sale like this.

This deal isn't really "RIP"ed. You can go in-store and pick up cans. Check their stock-checker to see if they're available.

This deal expires November 10th. They might get more in stock online by then.
