Lot of reviews at Walmart's site for this product: http://www.walmart.com/ip/Vizio-19-M190VA/13904828

Many cite audio issues, but for a TV this small hopefully you won't need loud audio. Seems like a decent enough deal for a refurb, but not anything too exciting.

Is that large box with 'Vizio' on it a wall-wart power supply? The thing looks huge if it's meant to plug directly into the wall or into a powerstrip.

@Roy33sakic Uhm, since it seems I can't edit my post as too much time has passed, I should clarify that the walmart reviews are for a nearly identical product, but the letters in the model name are slightly different. For what it's worth, the reviews are still probably fairly accurate. When I've looked up the exact model number, reviews still mention the same problems. But for an apples to apples comparison, you're better off with this link: http://www.amazon.com/VIZIO-M190MV-19-inch-Full-720p/dp/B003DV93LU

Some mixed reviews there, though for what it's worth there aren't many. And when there aren't many, you can bet that the people with the most problems looked for an outlet to complain. The first review is very comprehensive though, so the link is worth checking out.

For what it is worth, Costco has a brand new Hitachi 19" for this same price.

@cms1776: Is that a question? Yes, it seems small to me if this was your main TV in the living room. It doesn't seem small to me for, say, a kitchen counter (in fact we have a 19" in our kitchen).

This doesn't seem to be that great of a deal, especially given it's a refurb. For about $20-$30 more, you can get a new 22 inch. Granted, it won't be a major name brand player, but still functional and probably within the price range of those condsidering this Vizio.

Why all the downvotes? Did you not see the picture in the TV? Did you not read the write-up? It's the razr phone! Like in the picture I linked to! Guys? Guuuuys!?
Ah forget you guys, I'm creating my own deals website...with blackjack, and hookers!

I have this same tv in 26 inch and love it.
I looked at this 19 and wanted to get it for the kitchen.
Seconddipity.com has them on sale all the time.

Over on 1saleaday they have same size and resolution with a built in DVD for 99$ plus five for shipping. Just another option it seems as if the warranty is similar also. Just in case you do need this for a small space and want to cut down on the clutter.

Anyone know if this has amazon instant video?

Oh i get it! It's a razr in a razor!

I see what you did there!

This is the TV we have wall mounted in our sons room. It is very lightweight, so we were able to use a simple single stud mount with no issues whatsoever. The quality of the video is excellent, but the audio is about what you would expect from a flat panel TV. This is a great price and an excellent television for a child's room or the kitchen.

The remote control deserves a mention. There is a button for each input, so you can go between devices without scrolling through a menu!

I chuckled @cowboydann. I even gave you an upvote. :P

But, I'm also totally okay with a deals site that includes blackjack and hookers... as long as there is beer!

@olleewood: +1 on the deals site that includes blackjack and hookers. In fact, forget the deals site... and the blackjack...

@cowboydann: Thanks for the Bender link. Made me laugh out loud!

So, does the discussed wall wart power supply convert AC to 12 volt? In other words, would this be easy to power and use in a car?

For $5 more you can get the Samsung 21.5" 1080P model. How is this a deal?

vote-for3vote-against

I bought one of these on Secondipity a few months back for about the same price. I'm very happy with it. The picture quality is very nice. It's thin and light. My 'refurbished' TV looked new. I know people have issues with the sound but we use it in a quiet bedroom and for that it's fine. It's 19 inches: it's not designed to be set up in the living room and blast Surround Sound. I would say you will be very happy with this TV.

@bwilliam69: I've used the 22" model of this tv specifically for 12v use. Quick trip to Radio Shack to buy a 12v adapter cord and the correct end is all that is needed. We use them in campers all the time. It is getting harder to find a tv with this option especially since this model has been discontinued.

vote-for3vote-against

@roy33sakic: It's very likely the same model. I believe I recall Walmart having the occasional custom SKUs made for it to prevent comparison shopping or having to price match.

Regardless, you can get a new 19" 1080P screen for not much more and it will make for a sharper computer monitor at the same time.

I have a 22inch Vizio that was great until the picture went. I thought it was the power inverter so I replaced it, still no picture. It can't be the backlight because when it first turns on the screen lights up with the word Vizio, then fades to near nothingness. I am now reluctant to purchase a Vizio....rrrrrr didn't last very long. I only had it a little more than a year.

I see what you did there...

Need one for the kitchen, this looks like it will fit however, is that picture of the plug reasonable? As in will this stick out 4 in from the wall?

Have there been any delays with this item? Payment went through but no status change to "shipped". Has anybody else encountered this problem? - Cheers

@enlopes: Sorry for the confusion! Our vendor is not able to ship to APO addresses with FedEx, so it is currently en route to Woot. We'll reship it SmartPost once it has arrived and we'll provide you with a tracking email once it is available.
