I bought Recettear: An Item Shop's Tale for $5, Bit Trip Runner for $2.50, and Beat Hazard Ultra (add-on) for $2.49.

If it wasn't for these Steam sales/Humble Bundles, I would never have bought any games on the PC, and now I'm loving it!

vote-for7vote-against

@amishgramish: careful, your game list may get outrageous because of these sales :)

a good strategy i use during these sales is to make a list of items you want and then watch the daily deal to see if they make it there. if they do, the price may be lower than the sale price listed. meaning daily deals can sometimes be lower than the on-sale price!

if the items on your list don't make it to the daily deal, you can always get everything you want on the last day...assuming you don't miss the last day :D

@jockovonred: So very true. These sales make me buy so many games. They get so cheap that even if I am only slightly interested in it I feel like I can't pass it up.

I already have around 120 games on Steam and I haven't even had time to try like 50 of them, but I will still buy more this time around. These sales can be dangerous.

vote-for2vote-against

@99knivesinside: i believe my list is over 300 right now...just on steam! not including those outside of it (d2d, gamersgate, impulse, retail, console, etcetera)

vote-for6vote-against

Just ordered -

Borderlands GoTY
Oblivion GoTY Deluxe

When will the madness end? I would complain that Steam is draining my bank account but as these prices, it is not even denting it.

vote-for11vote-against

A good strategy I use for these sales is buy everything that is dirt cheap and have even a fleeting interest in because I have no self control.

vote-for0vote-against

@buffaloballet: Same here. My wallet's slowly bleeding to death atm.

vote-for1vote-against

got Back to the Future and Elder's Scroll IV :D

vote-for2vote-against

Oblivion and all of it's additional content for $8.50!? How could anyone resist that!? That's 3/4 the price of a movie ticket for hundreds of hours of gameplay!

vote-for1vote-against

so...i bought Oblivion and Borderlands and i already own/beat both for the 360 but i can't pass up these amazing deals and thank you steam for doing this every week to me and making my wallet bleed out instead of curb stomping me

vote-for2vote-against

@kwenlu: It's actually $6.80, which is right around the same price I paid a few months ago. If you're willing to wait you can always find games like that dirt cheap, but it's really nice to see so many deals in a 1 1/2 week span!

vote-for1vote-against

So does anyone know why Steam sales end/start during the afternoon? I know that many of us night owls are stalking Woot and probably a few other sites this time of night, so it'd be nice to find out tomorrow's daily deals on Steam in the next hour. :(

vote-for1vote-against

@metanoia29: GOTY (with major expansions) is $6.80
GOTY Deluxe (with ALL add-ons) is $8.50

vote-for1vote-against

@metanoia29

steam sales start and end at 10am PST. If your not on the west coast the sale timing is a little funky but you can imagine how it works better for Valve having everything on one clock than specific geographic ones.

vote-for2vote-against

@kwenlu: Ah, thank you. Searching my email I did get the Deluxe for $8.50 at the time, which is a really great price. You could probably spend a lifetime playing that game without seeing everything.

vote-for1vote-against

@the7654: Yeah, I understand that deals will change instantaneously, regardless of timezone. I just wonder why they make the change halfway through the day instead of at some timezone's midnight like many other "daily deals" retailers (like Woot).

vote-for1vote-against

Thanks!
Been wanting to get Medal Of Honor, great deal for $10

vote-for1vote-against

Nothing like a good Dutch Oven to go with your Steamer.

vote-for1vote-against

Darn you steam, I just had to buy witcher 2 even though I haven't been more than half through the first one.... I am sure there will be more games that I cannot resist and have no stinking time for.

vote-for1vote-against

I hate you all.

I was forced at gunpoint to get the "Telltale Complete Pack" for fifty bucks.

Looks like some of the developer packs are still on sale. Also, AC2 should still be $4.99 on Gamersgate if you didn't pick it up for $6.69 on Steam today.
