I work at taco bell. I assure you this is (while it lasts) the most cost effective thing to buy at taco bell. The weight it supposed to be 6.7 oz, but is always more than that simply for the fact that people can't properly portion the chips so it's normally around 6.8-7 oz if the people are doing their jobs correctly. So for 99c if you do the math against all the other things at taco bell this is currently the most cost effective.
(For all the vegetarians out there, you can also sub meat with beans for free! Just make sure your cashier hits +SBBN on the receipt and not -BF +BN which is ~49 cents extra)

@rockaby: no these are not fritos..they are nacho corn chips dusted with 3 different cheeses..they are longer and thinner than fritos and for those who like the doritos tacos wait until july for a real treat!

To answer the proposed ponderings: it is nowhere near as good as a beefy crunch burrito (I don't thinl it had sour cream) and my butt is holding strong however pressure is building.

@tehbronson: I would go more often, but my closest is a TB/KFC combo and it is basically risking your life every time you eat there - even more than usual. And the service is horrible, they rarely get my order right the first time. It is almost not worth the hassle. But I definitely need to try this.

I saw this today, and it looked like an overpriced version of what I currently do: Buy a beefy 5 layer, buy cheesy nachos, empty cheesy nachos into said 5 layer burrito, ingest, gain 5 lbs.

(Granted, I didn't see the 99 cent thing, that makes this a better deal. I just saw the combo.)
