dealsnintendo wii's for $39.99

You are going to need to add a remote + nunchuck + game to this.

For $40 you are getting the console, cable, and sensor bar. NOTHING ELSE. I suppose it's a decent deal if you need parts.

It's a flash sale so there are different units being sold all day. If you notice, the item description, condition and contents change constantly. I bought one of these on the last flash sale. I just waited till a condition 6 showed up with the parts that I considered vital and bought it.

in fer one, I got a condition 4 :( hope it's worth $47

@dawnjf: Same here, albeit over a year ago. I got a condition 6 system with a remote, all cabling, and the Wii Sports Disc. It just takes a lot of hitting 'F5', scanning the descriptions, and trying to hit the buy button before anyone else can get it.

@75grandville: That was my exact experience. =) I wound up with a condition 6 that I received last week and it looks brand new. I got all the cabling, the stand, motion sensor...basically everything but a controller and nunchuck which are relatively inexpensive.

Typically I'm not one to purchase additional warranties but this being a used console of unknown condition would anybody here recommend getting it? Would it cover general malfunctions that come from the system just having been in use for a while?

Yeah, this is either a moderately good deal or a moderately bad one, depending on what system you end up with. If you're really interested in this, refresh the page a few times and make sure the one you get at least has the remote (with strap), the AC adapter and the AV cable. If it doesn't, you'll probably come close to doubling the cost of the deal buying those seperately.

Seriously, if it doesn't come with a remote you might as well spring for a new system--those babies are 40 - 50 bucks alone.

It's "Wiis," not "Wii's"

Runs and hides

Just got a condition 4, but with Nunchuck, Wii Remote, AV cable, AC Adapter, System and Sensor bar. Heck if it works its worth it.

@dupedyetagain: Lol, good point! It hadn't even occurred to me what the plural would actually be. Is it actually Wiis though or would it just be Wii? Things that make you go hmmm.

vote-for1vote-against

@dawnjf: Well played! I didn't think of "Wii" as the plural version of itself, a la "fish" and "deer." Truth be told, I like your idea best!

vote-for4vote-against

The plural of Wii is Wii, but with the number of "i"s indicating the number of Wii. So 5 Wii would be Wiiiii.

I agree with the comments to only buy one with needed accessories. I bought one last w00t and it just came with a power brick and nothing else.

Oh learned internet wanderer and seeker of deals, I was a fool, learn from my folly!

Bought a bike instead, lost 50 lbs.

You can generally pick up a complete used with with at least one wiimote for ~$50 on your local craigslist. More than two years ago I picked up one on cl with two wiimotes and mario kart for $50.

You can just find people getting rid of their Wii's and buy them for $25 like I do :)
