I would try calling the local store and mentioning the deal if it isn't listed online, the coupon has a link to "Share", and doesn't say anything about location restrictions so I'm guessing they would have to honor it.

ya I called them and they siad they didnt know anything about it. they could not honor it with out a promo code

Just because there's a link to "Share" doesn't mean it's somehow in accordance with the laws legitimacy. I can link or share anything on the internet. The domain of the website is [papajohns-specials.com]. Without doing a "whois" search - I'm assuming that John's pizza company doesn't own or host that domain. However, if you do call your local store, why not throw in a 2-Liter and Cinnapie for your time. Tell them it's real - you you saw it on the interwebs.

By the way, just an observation, the photo used is of a "Double Pepperoni". That's 2 toppings.

This coupon was emailed to me directly from them, just like they do everyday, from the same email address.

And you know what they say when you assume.... they are wrong, you only make an ass out of yourself.

@lichme: dude, no need to get nasty. I too questioned the legitimacy of the domain name and did a WHOIS on it (it went to some marketing company called "ExactTarget").

BTW, doesn't seem to work in Chicago either. The link eventually leads me to Papa Johns, but two large cheese pizzas came to a total of $23. Must be regional or something.

It's very likely this was a geo-targeted email campaign. Doesn't work in SF either.

@lichme: I'm fortunate enough to receive those same emails from the marketing company ExactTarget, Inc. Directly. We have that exclusivity in common. Although, I don't get them everyday. It's probably a status thing, I'm not fancy enough. I took a glance at the last 10 or so - each one of those included a promo code. I wouldn't want to make anymore ass'umptions - like (every email has a promo code), so, I'll refrain. Either way, it's my fault. I was too focused on commenting about "Share". There have been several other occasions in my life that I've been referred to as an ass, allbeit, most of those were from the fairer sex. Not to say you're not a woman - just pointing out the typical circumstance. While technically, I was correct. Papa John's does not own or host that domain. The 2-Liter and Cinnapie comment was probably a bit over the top.

Now, if you'll just provide us with the promo code [ ]. Thanks.

@digitalsplit: No hard feelings, I knew where you were coming from as so many fraudulent coupons are floating around on the interwebz. I checked the entire email before I posted, and there was no promo code, which is why I figured it was nation wide. The link I shared is how it views in my email as well. Given that it is not, I'll expire it.
