My mom got these in red years ago & I've been looking for a set of my own ever since. The wicker ones fall apart & aren't easy to get the plates out of them. These are great!! They wash off really nicely & are easy to get the plate in & out of & are also very sturdy. I was so excited to find these. I bought a set of 10 for everyone in my family!!

@tattoo516: Yes, it seems pricey, but there are usually free shipping coupons(retailmenot) available if you spend a certain amount.

Amazon has a set of 4 for $4.49 + $4.50 S&H = $9.99. I ordered 50 & w/ their discount they were only .36/each. Also had gotten a couple of other items so the shipping didn't bother me.

Trust me they are so worth it. I have tried many others & these are the best. It's silly to be raving about these, but I can't help myself. I save time by not having to wash as many dishes & save money by buying cheaper paper plates. My family got many gifts for x-mas, but they were excited to each receive a set of 10 of these. My mom no longer has to worry about us not returning hers :-)

@elguappo: If you are referring to the pastel color set of 8 for $12.98, they are not the same kind. I have had this set & they are not as sturdy. They do not support nearly the weight that the black ones do.

One Amazon reveiw states: "they are totally dishwasher safe (even in bottom, in my dishwasher)" I don't have a dishwasher, so I can't vouch for this. Another reveiwer mentioned that they are "Very uniform for stacking" another important point that I forgot to mention.

This website says they are top rack dishwasher safe, but I have a GE Monogram DW and have cleaned them on both top and bottom rack with no problems.
