Woah... grammar error! I meant 80% off retail not 80% of retail!! I hang my head in shame.

Wedit. Fixed!

This seems like an insanely good deal... anyone have thoughts?

Got fair reviews on Amazon. Going on there for 160 plus shipping. Think i'll pass and wait for the 1100 to go on sale!

I won't buy from Dailysteals again, got taken twice.

@nanaejt: What happend that you won't buy from Dailysteals? I recently got two items from them. I know they say it may take them 6 days to even ship it out. Sometimes it takes Woot that long too.

@kylemittskus: I posted this just because I thought too that this deal is a very good price. This is a small fraction of the cost of other remotes. It's a shame that I already have a remote or otherwise I'd buy this.

I've had lots of shipping issues with daily steals over the past several months. I ordered a wireless logitech mouse from there and they claim it ships in 7-10 business days. It arrived over 45 days later. I also ordered a set of sports cards, it arrived 37 days later.

I've also ordered other things and gotten them in 10 days.

They are terrible at updating your account page with shipping information and more often than not the only way to know if an item shipped is to email their customer support. However when you email them they typically give you a tracking # that has nothing to do with your order.....

Never again...even if the prices are awesome and when the product finally arrives it works. If I wanted to wait 45 days for an item I would not buy it from them....

Does this require an internet connection to setup or change the devices it controls? I have an older Harmony 880 and that is the one thing that I hate about it.

Also, I use Linux, and the provided software doesn't have a Linux version. There are Linux programs that fill the gap, but I do not know if they work on this remote.

Yes, you must have an internet connection to set up the 1000.

i will never buy an item from them again too they sold me a "refurbished" kindle and went to activate it on my account lo and behold it was on the black list as stolen kindle and amazon had to contact them about selling stolen kindles.

Internet setup is the best thing to happen to universal remotes and have the 650.

But will wait for the 1100 as well, it addresses some of this past models problems, with no update for the 1000 I believe in sight.

I recently purchased a Harmony One from them. It took almost a month to receive it, but it was a good deal and worked fine when I received it. I had to follow up with them on shipping before I got any sort of tracking number as well. But they responded with one.

Just a note, I don't think these come with and RF extender (deal or retail), so if you're wanting to control hidden IR devices, you'll need that, which is like another $75.

I am a little out of the loop here. It is a RF remote... All of my components are IR.... How do you make them talk?

Please explain or post reference reading material please! I am trying to figure this out so I can buy one!!

Thanks in advance
