I have bought a very similar Logitech keyboard because I liked a very similar Logitech mouse. I really hate it. The keys are shallow and sticky.

MSRP is $99, Amazon has the same combo set for about $69. This is marked refurbished, but they are like new, either a return or overstock.

The Logitech wireless keyboards and mice are pretty good. I own several models. Be aware there a two separate wireless families. One keys the receiver to a specific mouse and keyboard. The other, called Logitech's Unifying receiver will work with all the other Unifying devices.

Software on your computer pairs the single receiver with multiple mice and keyboards. That lets you share multiple sets. Leave one at the office, one at home. Or during a presentation, two people can control the display, letting one person talk while someone alternately demonstrates.

Also battery life is very good. Months on a set. And the range is good. I can sit 20-30 feet from the computer and projector and control my presentation closer to the audience.
Any way, I think these are cool and the price is good.

I can confirm battery life on this set is effing ridiculous. 4 months so far without changing the batteries, still going strong.

What's the word on using this for games? I'm a bit concerned about the keys' responsiveness if they're going for comfort.

Really you have to love 1Saleaday because as they say "We've saved Americans $1,084,637,659.44 " and that is just thru 7:00AM today. That is a lot of theoretical money in anyone's wallet.

how far can your keyboard and mouse reach until it starts to get a little defective... i.e. if im sitting on my bed 10 feet away from the usb connector... is it still usable?

vote-for0vote-against

are the keys clicky? make a lot of sound or no?

vote-for0vote-against

Probably not so good for gaming. I've tried using wireless mice before when gaming and it gets pretty "jerky" in fast movements. As for the keyboard, I have no idea.

I ordered one anyways as I don't game anymore and if I do decide to game again that's what my wired set is for.

@realistpm: Not, they are fairly soft keys.

@magus414: I haven't tried that far away with the mouse, but I would guess it would be fine as long as you leave a direct line of sight to the dongle.

@whoevercares: I bought this set as a replacement an old logitech combo and am happy with it. My original selling point was the back/forward buttons, which are a must for me. It's done well and I don't recall ever changing batteries in it and I swear I've had it a year. I may be wrong, but at most I've changed the batteries once. Good set. The person above that got downrated was right though, the keys are slightly shallow and sunken, but it doesn't bother me at all.

I'm sold on the range and the battery life. I've been wanting to hook up the computer to the TV without having to shuffle everything around.

So samsclub sells the MK700: http://www.samsclub.com/sams/shop/product.jsp?productId=prod3090007&navAction= brand new for $47 and are very similar. I use mine for my media center and gaming.
I sit 25 feet away from the receiver with no issues.
Does not need line of site.
Keyboard:
Keys are soft with no audible click.
The keyboard works pretty well. There are times that it doesn't work immediately after waking up, but works fine as a keyboard for FPS. Not so sure it would work well with driving games where you hold down a key for a long time though.
Mouse:
Works well enough for casual use.
Not good for gaming. I still plug in a usb mouse. I don't recommend the mouse for gaming at all.
It also comes with the logitech universal receiver. If you have multiple logitech devices, it can detect them all.(Gimmick?) I've owned this set for 5 months now and still haven't changed the batteries. For casual use, it is probably the best bang for the buck. Keep your gaming mouse though.

I have the M705 Mouse which looks identical to the one in the picture. It is by far my most favorite mouse.

I had this exact set throughout my entire time at college. Had to retire the keyboard when I spilled an enitre Coke on it. Highly recommend at this price!

@nanaejt: Yeah they base that on MSRP, which no one pays anyway. So it's a bit misleading.

vote-for1vote-against

@kgood: I used it for years playing WoW no problem.

@blindingmask: It came like that new. It's really just a poor keyboard for about anything.

Husband has an older Logitech wireless mouse and keyboard set...dealing with Logitech has always been a pleasure and their products has always been positive. We lost the receiver for the keyboard and they shipped us a whole new set free of charge. For gaming? Husband plays FEAR and BIOSHOCK with no issues. Personally...we love these.

This is the same price without going through Deals.woot! Apparently sponsored deals are not specific to Wooters. One vote down, since I found the deal myself before I checked here.

Do these connect to a Macintosh?

vote-for2vote-against

@kjlane: Great, thanks for the feedback. Others are saying the mouse isn't so hot, but that's fine because I've got a Razer mouse that I'd never replace short of it spontaneously combusting. Looks like I'm in for one.

@thebopster: God forbid you not be the single person on the internet to find a certain deal...

vote-for1vote-against

@thebopster: Technically all sponsored deals are open to everyone. Sponsored sites never check to see if you have a Woot account. They just pay Woot and Woot puts them up top.

FYI -- two comments:
1. You can order more than 1-3. Looks like as many as you want, but the $4.99 shipping charge is EACH. Order 10 and pay 49.99 in shipping. Just a note for those pricing this. The price is still better than the Logitech Refurb store.

2. Yes the keys are soft, but still give enough feedback. I like the touch, and and over the last year, it has stayed the same, no stiffer, no softer. A plus to me.

I'm actually using this combo right now. I bought it a few weeks ago, new, from dailysteals, for the same price. The LCD on the keyboard is really week (barely visible in the dark, but you can see it fine in light - go figure), but other than that, I love them.

The keyboard they sent me was broken. It didn't connect to the USB dongle.
I sent it back, and got a refund, but of course, i am out my shipping costs to return it.
