You would have to pay to buy this movie!

Last line should be "Includes free 24-hour streaming 'rental' with purchase."

Didn't edit in time!

@mecrazy2: Isn't that the whole point of Amazon (or anywhere else for that matter) selling things? So that people can buy them?

Unless you meant, 'you would have to pay me to buy this movie', in which case you failed rather splendidly.

(Edit to add: Spoiler alert)
The movie had great plot build up and potential, then fell flat.
I saw it when it 1st came out, always meant to watch it again, it seemed like I must have missed something. Amazing cast, good acting... it just ended, ugh.

@danieleg: I disagree. The whole movie is about contradictions. I think they wrapped up the story very well without doing the soppy ending. However, the ending is up to many different interpretations but if you follow the pattern of the story it easy to conclude how they would most likely end up.

Great movie and story.

Mulholland Drive was similarly disappointing... although it had a non-linear but richer plot and characters, it also kinda fizzled in the end. Like a wine that leaves you thirstier. Maybe I take them too serious... or expect too much?

@danieleg: Would you mind explaining a bit more on what you were hoping for at the end of Lost in Translation?

This is one of those movies that one either likes or loathes. I loved it. My wife wanted to strangle me after it. Of course, she wants to strangle me after most "movie nights" where it's my choice.

Make her sit through a marathon of Schwarzenegger classics.

@brandon2802: Anything, pretty much. Just not nothing. They gave us a beginning, a middle and a fizzle.
