I just purchased this exact cable from Meritline about 2 months ago. I use it to connect my TV audio to my 30 year old Marantz receiver. (Yeah - you heard me - old school - vacuum tubes - warm fuzzy glow) Works great. Same cable at Radio Shack was over $8. Be aware though - these take awhile to get. Mine took about 3 weeks.

These ship on the slowboat from China or Singapore. Takes a long time unless you cough up more for expedited shipping but the products are usually decent. I'm in for one as these come in handy quite often.

Aren't the RCA inputs of car stereos usually on the back of the unit? If that's the case, you might want to get a longer cable. It doesn't look like this one would reach from the back of a standard-depth car stereo to the front. Even if it did technically reach, you're going to want extra cable so you don't have your music player dangling from this really short cable.

@sonic infidel: This is an adapter. Generally, you attach a standard RCA-RCA cable to this.

Newt Gingrich approves of this deal.
"Male to female.
That's how a RCA cable is MEANT to be!"

Before you buy, make sure you're not looking for male RCA connectors. I have several 3.5mm to RCA male cables for plugging an ipod into any stereo component that offers an aux input. They're on meritline for $3 with free shipping http://www.meritline.com/5-feet-3-5mm-to-rca-l-r-audio-auxiliary-y-cable---p-36277.aspx ...and I often find them at the Dollar Store for about a buck.

The deal appears to be dead already.

@mbrinkma: Go search for it on Monoprice if you really need it, They ship faster and their prices are always this cheap or cheaper. Its where I get all my home audio cables from.
