@kjlane: they do last quite a bit. after they start to deflate, you just get a small straw, coffee stirrer, old bic pen; slip it in the valve, and inflate it with your breath and it puffs up again to float somemore... i guess the oxygen leaks out, but the helium is still in there or something like that. it just works i tell ya! i've had one mylar baloon (same material as these floaty things) last for three months using this technique. i only inflated it twice using this and then got tired of it so i popped the dang baloon. the kids were not happy...
