Hmm. Max RAM is 8GB and no USB 3 ports.
If I'm going to upgrade, I want an upgrade. Not a side step. Gotta pass on this one.
Probably just build my own. Again.

Yeah, was thinking the same thing too. Dedicated graphics, does that mean that's not upgradeable either?

Only 8 GB max ram?!? Not a work station, no video editing. I don't see what this is for. A fast processor and not much else. Not even HDMI or usb3.0. I would give this a pass. Even hp makes better machines than this.

I bought almost the same machine on Woot when the i7-2600 was new. Recently built a new one out of it reusing a few things like the processor & Blu-ray. This is about what I paid back then, but it's still a $280 processor. A great workstation, but a little high for what it is. Not enough PSU or GPU for gaming.

Can any of you fine folks recommend a desktop for video editing?

Too much processor for what it is. Kind of a waste...

5400 rpm hard drive? Unless this thing has a battery and a screen built in, I can't bite. We're talking laptop specs/upgradability, without the portability. This is as bad as owning an ipad.

@killjoy: Actually it does have 2 USB 3.0 ports (located on the top of the tower, HP calls it a "Landing Pad for USB 3.0". The motherboard's specs (HP Carmel2) also show a USB 3.0 header. The memory situation sucks though.

This is not a good deal. You can get nearly identical i7-3770 hp/dell systems NEW for this exact same price.

I bought one thinking the hard drive was a 7200 rpm hard drive, because that is what moofi woot says it is in the specs...Turns out hp support page says it is 5400 rpms..Anyone know how to cancel an order before it ships here..I already sent an email to woot support..I figure at last resort I will refuse delivery, but, I'd like to save the bother of shipping it.....
