"Project a 60” widescreen image onto a wall or ceiling from less than 10 feet away"

I'd never considered projecting onto a ceiling before. This would solve my problem of wanting to watch something, while lying on the bed, without having to aim my head any direction, whatsoever.

"Brightness (Bright Mode): 50 ANSI Lumens"

So, this thing projects a picture visible if you are say, trapped in a well? Or in a cave-in?
That doesn't seem bright enough to do anything.....

@blackelvis: Or if you are keeping the heat down so that this isn't a fire hazard but still let your kids have their own projector at night in their room.

You have to have a room almost completely devoid of light to be able to see the display. Was using this in a room with long windows covered with blinds and could barely see the display on a normal sunny day. Works great at night though. :)

I've got this exact projector. It is pretty dull, but it certainly does the job for the price. It obviously works best at night, but depending on how bright it is, it does work during the day. It produces almost no heat compared to my previous projector as well. My only complain is the volume control. It only has three volume settings, and it never quite seems to be the right volume.

Regardless, you get what you pay for here, but it certainly works.

@blackelvis: Considering the resolution and lumens, this is the perfect gift for that ugly stepchild you throw in a dark cellar.

@spyder69696969: My mom got me this for xmas... oh wait... :-(

I got one of these for my son for his birthday. It sat for a while until we made a screen for it using some pressboard and silver screen paint. He used it with his XBOX 360. It was great for a few weeks and then the dead pixels showed up. Lots of other people have had this exact same issue.

Unless you just get lucky and the pixels don't go white, it's crap. Don't blow your money on a crap shoot.
